Just a few days ago, I left my old website. She was a template beauty that promised me no strings attached. No developer, no html, no fancy skills needed. It was a low commitment relationship, or so I thought.
It didn’t take long for me to figure out that we weren’t just fooling around here. This website wanted more and more of my time, it was moody and reticent, and never really satisfied my needs. I messed around with this template temptress for over a year before I just couldn’t take it any more.
I’m vaguely upset. Not because It was any good for me, (it wasn’t) but because it was pretty good looking, and all that fighting started to feel like we must really have something. I mean, I’d put in all this time and energy, but ultimately, it just couldn’t give me what I wanted. It was time to walk away.
I’ve got a new website in my life now. It gives me more than I ask of it. It’s easy to communicate with. It’s even more clean cut and good looking than the last one. We don’t fight and there’s a lot of room to grow. I think this is going to last.
